Islamabad Institute of Dental Education & Allied Sciences (IIDEAS), Dental Section, Islamabad Medical & Dental College, established in 2010, is situated at the Margalla foothills, Main Murree Road, Bara Kahu Islamabad. The Institute educates future dentists through its four year degree program (B.D.S). Each year the college admits a batch of 50 students. The Institute is recognized by Pakistan Medical & Dental Council, Ministry of Health and is affiliated with Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University Islamabad.
IIDEAS is aiming to be a top class dental institution. Our students and faculty participate in interdisciplinary learning and research that benefits the college and its patient community, and also results in a well-rounded curriculum that produces dentists skillful in the art and science of dentistry. Students’ performance on standardized examinations is a benchmark of the quality of our academic program.
The Institute has a multi-faceted service mission encompassing education, patient care and community outreach. Islamabad Dental Hospital is a teaching dental hospital & through its network of Community Oral Health, the hospital improves access to dental care for Bara Kahu, Rawalpindi & Islamabad residents. It focuses on vulnerable population and special needs patients, thus providing low-cost dental care to regional residents through comprehensive state-of-the-art clinical services.
